Los premios Oscar se entregan hoy con el popular comediante Billy Cristal como presentador oficial. Por primera vez después de 10 años, el teatro donde tradicionalmente se lleva a cabo la ceremonia deja de llamarse Kodak, tras la quiebra de la firma, que ya no puede hacerse cargo de los costos. Se llamará Hollywood & Highland Center, en referencia al complejo de edificios donde se ubica el teatro.

Nueve películas llegan con posibilidades de obtener el premio a la mejor película. Las nominadas son: “Hugo”. “El Artista”, “Moneyball”, “Caballo de guerra”, “El árbol de la vida”, “Medianoche en Paris”, “Historias cruzadas”, “Tan fuerte, tan cerca” y “Los descendientes”.

Las favoritas son “Hugo”, de Martin Scorsese y “El artista”, una de las grandes revelaciones del año. “Moneyball”, con Brad Pitt y “Caballo de guerra” de Steven Spielberg también están entre las favoritas.

Sin embargo, una encuesta realizada por la consultora estadounidense Harris, revela que “Historias Cruzadas”, que obtuvo el 22% de los votos, debería llevarse el premio a la mejor película. Según la encuesta, realizada entre 2.239 personas, “Caballo de guerra”, “Moneyball” y “The artist” también tienen posibilidades.
